On June 28, 2024, Meta, a leading technology company, announced a significant investment aimed at advancing their AI capabilities. The company plans to spend $15 billion to establish a new team focused on developing AI superintelligence. This initiative will be headed by Alexandr Wang, the young founder of Scale AI, who has now joined Meta.
